Using Tickets for BRE Visits

How to track BRE Visits

Economic developers should use the Tickets object to systematically track annual BRE (Business Retention and Expansion) visits and ensure nothing falls through the cracks over the course of the year. To support this, create a dedicated ticket pipeline called “Annual BRE Visit” with clearly defined stages that reflect your engagement process with existing employers. At a minimum, this pipeline should include the following statuses:

**Data Collected From Form** – Initial information about the company or visit request has been submitted via an online form, landing page, or internal intake process and needs to be reviewed and qualified.

**Visit Scheduled – On-Site BRE** – A BRE visit has been scheduled with the company, and key details such as date, time, location, participating staff, and visit objectives have been confirmed.

**Visit Completed** – The on-site BRE visit has taken place, notes and outcomes have been documented, and any follow-up actions or projects can now be created and tracked.

Each ticket should be assigned an owner (such as a BRE coordinator or existing industry manager) and given a priority level (for example: High, Medium, or Low) based on the employer’s strategic importance, risk level, or time sensitivity of issues identified. This structure allows your team to manage workload, coordinate follow-up, and report on annual BRE activity across your portfolio of existing companies.
